Property Description

This is a 'tiny house' is not our main home, so our availability is flexible. We renovated a shed (2020) to create a bright modern space, with a bespoke sliding stairs up to a mezzanine sleeping area. It consists of an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a king-size bed in the mezzanine above and a separate modern bathroom. The kitchen contains a conduction electric hob, a combination microwave oven and small fridge.
There is a spacious patio/courtyard with sunny seating areas and outdoor table.
It is in rural East galway, surrounded by farmland, and next door to a small working farm with all that entails; sheep, cattle, dogs, cats and hens.
Things to know:
The mezzanine has very low head height and the ladder is very steep! It is not ideal for small children.
The Kingsize bed upstairs is very comfortable, the sofabed downstairs is a small double and is ideal for either 1 adult or 2 children, but is not so comfortable for 2 adults.
There are no nearby bus services, so own transport is necessary.

Location Description

We are a 30 mins drive from Galway city and the nearest towns are Loughrea 12km, Gort 18Km and Athenry 16km. There are Blue Flag beach facilities at Loughrea Lake and great walking trails through Coole Park, just outside Gort and in the Sliabh Aughty Hills which are also close by. Our locality is dotted with Norman castles, fairy forts and sites of local history interest. The ruins of Cregg Castle are at the top of our road; the Great Gates that were the grand entrance to Roxborough House, where Lady Gregory was born are 2 km away and the Daly Monument in Seefin, and Woodville Walled Garden are 5 km away.
