Great Time in Mayo with home4home.ie

‘We stayed near beaches in a house close to Louisburgh’

Myself, my wife and daughter had a great break in Mayo last weekend, using home4home.ie. We stayed near beaches in a house close to Louisburgh, and had a really fun time.

“Quiet and peaceful”

I’m sure it helped that our visit coincided with Mayo’s defeat of Dublin, but we would definitely return to this part of the country. Quiet and peaceful, with only the sound of the waves to interrupt us.

Thank you home4home.ie!

Family-friendly Staycation in Kerry

‘We had a really enjoyable few days in Kerry’

With three children, aged 11, 8, and 5 we are quite used to an all-action lifestyle. So it was brilliant for us to get a chance to explore Kerry.

There was so much to do visiting Killarney and Dingle amongst other places and as the family we house swapped with had kids of similar ages, we were able to get their bikes out and explore the surrounding area.

The house we stayed in was in a great location, only a few miles outside Killarney and so meant we could go there in the evening time to eat out. Having been home for so long it was important for us as a family to have a short break together.

“For the price of a meal out, we can get away on a few trips…”

With the children growing up fast, staying in a hotel for three nights might have cost several hundred euro.  So with home swap, for the price of a meal out, we can get away on a few trips to different parts of Ireland which would not happen otherwise.

We had a really enjoyable few days in Kerry. The home we swapped with had everything we needed facilities-wise and with the welcome note on the house instructions, we were even left a bottle of wine and treats for our kids.  Now that’s service!!

Couple head West to the Wild Atlantic Way

‘We had a lovely break in Connemara with no Covid concerns’

As a retired couple, the last year has been a very challenging time in this Covid world. We were apprehensive initially about travelling away from home, but house swap was an ideal opportunity for us.

Staying in another house reduced our Covid concerns significantly and we felt very safe from the moment we left home. We had no stress that usually happens when checking into a busy or crowded airport.

We stayed near Clifden and as we had the car getting around Connemara it was easy to enjoy the scenic drives. The views in Connemara were spectacular and it was really nice just to enjoy being away.

Heading out the coast road in Galway was particularly nice and stopping off in Spiddal was one of the best things about our trip. We had a lovely break in Connemara for almost no cost at all. We got on really well with the family we swapped with and our plan is to go to the west again soon.

It was brilliant to get away and we will look into other potential places to visit also.
